How does transcription work?

Latent uses WhisperKit (OpenAI Whisper for Apple Silicon) to transcribe audio entirely on your device. No audio is ever uploaded to the cloud.

What languages are supported?

Latent supports transcription in 100+ languages including English, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, French, German, and many more — powered by the Whisper model.

What does the free tier include?

Free users get 30 minutes of recording per month with full transcription, AI-generated summaries, and titles.

What does Latent Pro unlock?

Latent Pro removes the monthly recording limit, giving you unlimited recording and transcription.

Is my data private?

Yes. Audio never leaves your device. Transcript text is sent to our server only for AI summary generation and is immediately discarded. We do not store any user data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I restore my subscription?

Open Latent, tap the account icon, then tap "Restore Purchases." Your subscription will be restored automatically via your Apple ID.
